We condemn today's actions of the authorities related to unreasonable searches in the apartments of opposition leaders and detentions of activists of opposition movements, which are reminiscent of the actions of the Tsarist secret police on the eve of well-known historical events.
We believe that this could provoke an irreversible increase in tension in society and closes the way to the constructive evolution of the Russian political system.
We, as deputies of the State Duma, will make every effort to restore the constitutional order of Russia and call on all our colleagues, including members of United Russia who advocate peaceful dialogue, and independent politicians to immediately intervene in the situation, as well as go out to a peaceful demonstration tomorrow and call on their supporters !
We also encourage Russian citizens to take part in the sanctioned action on June 12!
