Oh, unfortunately, I will again have to do what I at the same time do not like to do most, and what I am most tired of, since I have to do it all the time. That is, explain what I wrote. Because, no matter how much I beg, no one categorically wants to read what I have written. And they see the topic out of the corner of their eye and immediately begin to comment on something that has nothing to do with what I specifically said.
So. Regarding these one and a half lemons of cash euros, which, let’s imagine, was found at Ksenia Anatolyevna’s house. I write “conditionally” as an extremely careful person, just in case, since we always have a theoretical probability that they could have planted it. However, here this probability practically tends to zero, for many reasons that there is no point in discussing now, but the main one is that no one will trust any of these guys to throw such an amount of cash, and then you won’t be able to collect it back. However, there are options here too, but for now let’s discard everything and take it for granted - yes, we found it.
So, my previous entry about this went a lot for my quiet Journal of comments in which anything is written. And that Ksenia herself is a provocateur sent by the Kremlin into the ranks of the opposition. And that now this very opposition will have to “wash off the pile of cash under the bed” (for some reason, many of my compatriots have the idea that money can only be kept under the bed). And it would be good to see whether taxes have been paid on this amount. And about the provocations of the bloody KGB, and about the liberals who sold out to the State Department. And many more interesting things.
I’m even ready to agree that these are extremely fascinating topics to discuss. Only they have nothing to do with what I wrote and why.
Gentlemen! I understand that many will immediately despise me, but I have to admit to several terrible things. I don’t think one and a half million euros is such a gigantic sum. Only those who have never even seen such money, let alone held it in their hands, can imagine that this could be some kind of “common fund” of the opposition, with which one can buy a revolution with all the revolutionaries.
In general, grandmothers are quite modest these days. Not every apartment in my house, and certainly not every house in my village, can be bought with them. So, for mass bribery of demonstrators, it is only suitable with the contingent of Poklonnaya Gora, but not Bolotnaya Square. And in terms of volume, this is generally two and a half small “sausages”, even much less than a million dollars. So, I confess, I don’t see anything shameful or even particularly unusual in the very possession of such a sum. And anyone else too.
Moreover. I am not simply against cash and, especially, cash currency. If anyone had read more carefully my financial forecasts for the last year, I have repeatedly, gently, but quite persistently hinted that just now it is very useful to have a certain amount of money in foreign currency and in cash. And for a person who not only receives bribes and kickbacks that need to be hidden away in offshore accounts, but who is actively engaged in business, this can be especially useful. So, if Ksenia Anatolyevna generated this packet in cash, then, in my opinion, she did it very correctly.
I just wrote about a single and extremely primitive thing. There is no need to keep so much cash at home. Never at all, to anyone and under any circumstances. And if you have every reason to assume that you can be followed, then doing this is completely idiocy.
He spoke on many occasions about the extreme infantilism of a large number of representatives of the younger generation. Stories like the same “wiretapping” of Nemtsov and others. Well, people of my time don’t do anything like that automatically. They don’t say things on the phone that aren’t intended for prying ears. They don't write down anything important in notebooks. Either regular or electronic. They do not store private information on their computers. Not on hard drives or any others. And there are many other things they don’t do. That is, they understand where they live. And they behave accordingly. This is a habit and an experience, most often not very pleasant, but, unfortunately, for us it is not only useful, but also necessary.
And these are just like children. Although, seriously, they are no longer children. But something is going wrong with them as they grow up. Which sometimes makes me smile, but lately more and more often not with tenderness, but with some nervous irritation.
