The Bashkortostan Prosecutor's Office approved an indictment against the former general director of Bashkiravtodor OJSC, 57-year-old Marat Gilimyanov, who now heads the largest contracting organization in the region, Dortransstroy LLC. According to the department, the manager is accused under Part 1 of Article 201 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation of using powers by a person performing managerial functions in a commercial organization contrary to the legitimate interests of this organization and in order to obtain benefits and advantages for himself. The Investigative Department of the Russian Investigative Committee, which conducted the investigation into the criminal case of Mr. Gilimyanov, believes that in May 2010 he illegally ordered the director of the Chishminsky DRSU branch of Bashkiravtodor OJSC to lay an asphalt road to his house at the expense of the branch. As a result of the execution of this order, the organization suffered material damage in the amount of more than 2.3 million rubles, the Investigative Committee believes.

The owner of 100% of the shares of OJSC Bashkiravtodor is the government of Bashkiria. According to the prosecutor's office, during the preliminary investigation, Marat Gilimyanov did not admit guilt. Article 201 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of up to four years.

According to Kommersant, the Investigative Committee is also investigating a second criminal case against Marat Gilimyanov - on the fact of fraud on an especially large scale (part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). From January to October 2010, according to investigators, the company “on knowingly false” grounds transferred more than 77.5 million rubles to the settlement accounts of the Ufa LLC Agrodorspetsstroy and Dortransstroy. allegedly for the purchase of sand and gravel mixture for the construction of the southern entrance to Ufa.

Marat Gilimyanov himself previously called the criminal case initiated by Kommersant a “falsification”: “Someone lied and filed an application (to the Investigative Committee - Kommersant).”
