Opposition: Interrogations continue

The interrogation of the coordinator of the "Left Front" by Sergey Udaltsov lasted about 6 hours. The oppositionist came to the Investigative Committee by 11 in the morning, accompanied by the wife of Anastasia and lawyer Violetta Volkova. About what questions the investigators asked, Sergei Udaltsov said RS:

- The investigation was interested in data about my personality, about my income, and work. There were many questions about the events of May 6, about what relations with other oppositionists I am. All this lasted a long time. Then they started an inspection of things seized in my apartment during a search of June 11 , but since there were many things, the inspection has not yet ended. Apparently, I have more than once have to appear in the Investigative Committee, but I have nothing to hide, my conscience is pure, I will be in challenges.

Sergei Udaltsov also noted that his status of a witness in the case of riots on Bolotnaya Square on May 6 has been preserved. Earlier, the coordinator of the "Left Front" expressed the hope that as a result of interrogation this status would not change to the status of the suspect.

The interrogation of another opposition leader - Alexei Navalny - ended, in fact without starting. The blogger arrived in the Investigative Committee by 11 o’clock. He was asked to leave handwriting and signatures. He refused to do this. According to his lawyer, Vadim Kobzev , this is a standard procedure, but the investigation has no reason to conduct it now:

-With the same success, you can take blood samples, samples of voice, hair or something else. In the decision that was presented to us, it was not said why it is necessary. Typically, in the decisions, such requirements are motivated. For example, they write that some kind of contract has been discovered for the examination, it is necessary to get samples of the signature. In this case, it remains behind the scenes.

After the event in the Investigative Committee, Alexei Navalny went to the office of the Rospil Corruption Fund, which he heads. There continued the search, begun the day before. This time, the operatives did not withdraw anything from the opposition. Says the press secretary of "Rospila" Anna Vedita :

-This time everything went quickly enough, within one and a half to two hours. They examined the safe in the office of Alexei, which on the eve could not open, since there was no key. The key has appeared today. 570 rubles were discovered in the safe, the work books of the fund's employees and the tax return of Alexei. Employees of the investigation group found that these items are not dangerous and are not subject to seizure.

The lawyer of Alexei Navalny Vadim Kobzev also said that after the end of this search, the investigative actions with his client should be completed.

On June 12 in the evening, operatives also searched the apartment and office of another opposition policy, co -chair of the Solidarity movement Boris Nemtsov . They seized computers and electronic information carriers, the oppositionist said:

- These actions are politically motivated, instructed to organize repression against the leaders of the opposition. Vladimir Putin chose the instigators, because of which protests are held in Moscow, and five people took them to them: Alexei Navalny, me, Ksenia Sobchak, Ilya Yashin and Sergey Udaltsov. But the protests do not depend on us, but on people who do not want this cynical power, and they will go out into the streets, despite whether some business has been aroused against us or not.

On June 15, investigators will once again interrogate Boris Nemtsov, as well as a member of the Solidarity movement Ilya Yashin, the coordinator of the Left Front Sergey Udaltsov and the TV presenter Ksenia Sobchak. Sobchak also said that her lawyers would file a request for the return of money seized during the search on June 11th and passport. In addition, opposition lawyers are preparing to appeal the actions of investigators in the courts.

Earlier, the official representative of the Investigative Committee of Russia Vladimir Markin stated that opposition leaders are held as witnesses in the case of riots on Bolotnaya Square on May 6. Political scientist Dmitry Oreshkin does not claim that their status may change to the status of suspects:

- The probability that the witnesses will be charged and they will become accused not only high, but also initially laid down in this whole process. If this had not been provided for a plan, then why was it possible to select a passport from Mrs. Sobchak? The witnesses are not taken away from the passport. Obviously, this is an attempt to scare the organizers of the protest, and to a greater extent to scare and demoralize the protest participants themselves. This is a manifestation of despair, the obvious inability of the authorities to cope with street protests by the former methods. Please note that this time there is no Poklonnaya Mountain , no men from the Uralvagonzavod who were going to come here and restore order. The authorities have nothing to object to traditional, "near -deposited" methods, respectively, you have to act with the power method. The head of the Investigative Committee was set the task and he solves it as he knows how: he neutralizes, enough, scares. And then, if there is a person, then there is an article.

According to political scientist Dmitry Oreshkin, the searches and interrogations of the leaders of the protest campaign will not affect people's desire to continue to rally. The opposition plans no earlier than autumn large -scale protests, the organizers say.
