Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree “On the acting governor of the Belgorod region,” the Kremlin press service reported on Saturday, June 16, Interfax reports.
In connection with the expiration of the term of office of the governor of the Belgorod region, Evgeny Savchenko, the president decided to appoint him as acting head of the region until the person elected as governor takes office. The decree comes into force on June 17, 2012.
