Million march

The detention of 13 activists and demonstrative searches for the leaders of the opposition, the signing by Vladimir Putin of new dragon amendments to the Code of Administrative Offenses and the Law on rallies, establishing giant fines for potential violators - on the eve of the Millions Million, which took place on June 12, the authorities did everything possible to scare the participants in protest actions. But the "creative class" was not afraid. Tens of thousands of Muscovites (20 thousand, according to the Central Internal Affairs Directorate, and over 100 thousand, according to the organizers) reached the march on the Boulevard Ring on the day of Russia and passed without a single incident to the Academician of Sakharov, where the rally took place. Not a single abandoned stick, not a single detainee, not a single fight - all that was provoked by riot police during the previous march on May 6 in Bolotnaya Square, this time was avoided. And this despite the fact that the leaders of the protest - Alexei Navalny and Ilya Yashin - could not take part in the rally: after the searches held on the eve of the searches, they were called into many hours of interrogations to the Investigative Committee.

Now the protesters go to the “Summer vacations”, the next “Million March” was decided to be held on September 15, on the eve of the anniversary of the Congress of United Russia, the very one, on which was announced the castling in the ruling tandem and the return of Vladimir Putin to the Kremlin.
