A letter unanswered
Chairman of the Public Committee for the Protection of Scientists, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Yuri Ryzhov, sent a copy of the letter to the editorial office of The New Times, which he sent to President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin at the end of May. It concerns the problem of criminal prosecution of scientists with the filing of the FSB. This is not the first such appeal to the high instances, and as informed Yuri Ryzhov, this time the letter was also sent along the standard path: to the Office to ensure the constitutional rights of citizens of the presidential administration and to the General Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation, from where, as a rule, unsubscribes that "no violations have been revealed." Since the head of state (previously sent letters were sent to Dmitry Medvedev) does not consider it necessary to answer even academicians, the editors considers it possible to bring the essence of the appeal to its readers.
A letter from Academician Ryzhov states that it is necessary to stop the criminal prosecution of scientists accused of the FSB of state treason, the disclosure of state secrets and the export of dual -purpose technologies, and to free those who are in conclusion. The author notes that convicts under the 275th, 283rd, 189th articles of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation and other articles “by definition are political prisoners,” as the so-called crimes against the state are convicted. “Walking up to scientists for almost 14 years, I have not met in them when the prosecution had a legal evidence base. And these are not the mistakes of the investigation. This is a conscious political crime, which is regulated by Art. 299, 303, 305, 307, - the letter says. - Cases are pronounced custom in nature, but at the same time they are considered by our courts as cases that have an evidence base. Everything represented by the charge is accepted, and what the accused and defense represent is rejected. This principle of the work of our "bassman" ships is well known. Especially in closed processes. "
The letter contains a reminder of scientists convicted by the long terms-physics Valentina Danilov (Krasnoyarsk) and former employees of TsNIIMASH Igor Reshetin and Sergey Vizirera (Moscow Region), as well as the next custom-made case-professors of the St. Petersburg “military” Yevgeny Afanasyev and Svyatoslav Bobeshev. The petition of the scientific community to President Medvedev to have the pardon of convicts Danilov, Reshetin and Vizier, as well as their own petitions, did not receive an answer.
“Many are wondering,” Academician Ryzhov writes President Putin, “why does the FSB hunt for scientists with such persistence? It seems that the main task is to create an illusion of hostile forces within the country and a hostile environment. We can talk a lot about modernization, Skolkovo, nanotechnology and at the same time do not understand what to plant scientists for the sake of ambitions of the FSB lieutenants, while ignoring the opinion of really large scientists of our country, it means to put the scientific and technical future of their country. ”

“Crystal Night” of Russia began on June 11, 2012 on a bright sunny morning with the “stripping” of the most active, most popular oppositionists. Now it has become clear that the authorities had already removed the Bavarian uniform from a historical hanger in costume Russia, put it on with the exclamation of “Glory of Russia!” She moved her militants against the people disagreeing with her. Can we stop the psychosis of power?

Ready to subscribe to every word. That's just about what the people take for the morons, and this hurts them - I think that they are morons in large numbers, they allow them to be treated like that, they will dutifully vote for whom they say, and then offended. And completely different people go to meetings with you, therefore both their faces and reactions.
