But no, another failure (in the literal sense of the word) in the process of preparation for the APEC summit in Primorye, scheduled for this fall, occurred on a section of a road under construction in Vladivostok. After the usual (one might say standard) rains, a section of the road under construction, passing over the boat garages, collapsed.
Tons of earth and stones broke through the concrete floors, and a retaining wall several tens of meters high collapsed. And it was only by luck that no one was injured in the garages or in the surrounding area.

The designers believe that no flashings were made during construction to drain water. The prosecutor's office suggests that instead of the required quality materials, cheap substitutes were used. The chairman of the affected garage cooperative appeals to the violation of the construction of frames made of metal mesh filled with crushed stone, pebbles or stones (gabions), which have grown several tens of meters - “These gabions are not made higher than five meters. And here the maximum permissible height of gabions is violated. I wrote in TMK administration, said that it would all collapse.
I think everyone is right. If the road collapsed before the start of operation (that is, before the end of construction), then it means that everything possible was damaged.
And yet, when the governor of the Primorsky Territory says that mistakes were made in the design of the road section, and those responsible will be punished, I think he is mistaken.
I think there is no mistake in the stereotypical project walking around Russia, since the motto of this miracle project is: “the production of disposable products is the key to a continuous industry for cutting up budget money.” Well, really, don’t cancel the autumn summit. This means we need to save some more money for the journey and... update the Guinness record for cutting budget funds.
It is no coincidence that I say that the project is stereotypical. Here's a recent example - look at the football picture. The disposable team (only played one match) is failing miserably at the European Championship. The wild coach Dick, bought for a lot of money, who prudently signed a contract with the Dutch club before the start of the championship, like a true professional, spoke in the spirit that he does not care what they say and think about him in Russia. And the epic character about how Russian education and Russian football met, hugged and burst into tears, generally said that this (failure from the championship with a bang) was not a disaster. True, like a true leader, in a fit of monolithic unity with the team, he fled Warsaw separately from the national team.
And he knows what he's talking about about the catastrophe. The head of Russian football understands perfectly well that Gazprom’s money is not convertible in Europe - neither judges can be bought, nor opponents, nor the control and disciplinary committee can be pinned down with administrative resources. And in Russia - show must go on - an expensive coach is again invited for a one-time national team and the continuity of the industry of cutting the budget money continues.
And so in everything - continuous landslides.
