The captain of the Russian national football team Andrei Arshavin apologized to the fans for the unsuccessful performance of his team. He stated this on the air of the 100 TV channel.
Arshavin noted that the results of Russian matches at Euro 2012 upset the players of the national team and fans. Therefore, he, as the captain, asks for forgiveness on behalf of the team for "the result that we showed." Arshavin noted that he would not apologize anymore.
Earlier, the Life News portal published a video of Arshavin’s dispute with Russian fans who were perplexed about the behavior of the captain of the national team. "What should we apologize for?" - said Arshavin then.
Recall that the Russian team flew out of the championship after losing to the Greeks with a score of 0: 1. Earlier, Russia tied with Poland (1: 1) and won the Czech team (4: 1).
