Low-income large families in the Moscow region will be able to receive a monthly benefit in the amount of the subsistence minimum for children from January 1, 2013, the Ministry of Social Protection of the Moscow Region told Interfax .
“A payment in the amount of the subsistence minimum for children will be assigned to a family in the event of the birth of a third child after December 31, 2012, or subsequent children until the child reaches the age of three,” the ministry said.
Corresponding changes are planned to be made to the regional law “On measures of social support for families and children in the Moscow region.”
The cost of living in the Moscow region for children in 2012 is 6,834 rubles.
