One of my friends, the head of a department at a budget-funded enterprise, was given a difficult task by management at the beginning of the year: to recruit young staff. The fact is that their personnel are really outdated - most are well over seventy. A friend of mine is one of the youngest, he recently turned only 65. The complexity of the task rested, first of all, on the salary - honored 80-year-old physicists and translators work at the enterprise for 12 - 15 thousand a month. “Young staff won’t accept such a salary,” my friend argued to management. “Okay, we’ll give you 25 thousand,” the director promised.

And so a friend got to work. It soon became clear that finding young physicists and translators in Moscow willing to work for 25 thousand a month was unrealistic. We had to raise the starting level to 40 thousand. Honored veterans began to grumble... Very soon it became clear that, in general, there was nothing to pay young staff for... And the history of this one enterprise is no exception to the rule. Now, two decades after the collapse of the USSR, new personnel have entered the labor market.

Psychologists dubbed those born in the late 80s and early 90s “Generation Z” (“Generation Tin”). According to experts, this generation is infantile, lazy, not ready and unable to work. Born parasites.
Many psychologists study “tin”, and Mark Sandomirsky was one of the first to introduce this concept. According to Sandomirsky, the psyche of this generation was greatly influenced by stress (here is the collapse of the Soviet Union, and the lack of ideology, and dim prospects). Moreover, today’s 20-year-olds experienced the negative impact of global upheavals while still in the womb - it has been proven that stress during pregnancy affects the child’s psyche in the most detrimental way.

One of the consequences of all these political and economic global upheavals is chronic infantilism. “Today’s 20-year-olds have not been able to grow up - even in adulthood they have retained childish traits and behave childishly without realizing it,” says Mark Sandomirsky. Accordingly, workers from today's youth are mostly bad - irresponsible, non-executive "and at the same time, like children, constantly expecting from those around them and from the leader an unconditional positive assessment of everything they do. 20-year-olds today exhibit childish egocentrism and a consumerist attitude to life. And this is noticeable from the statistics of any employment service - young people demand a salary of at least 40 thousand, while having a worthless education and the absence of any work experience,” states the psychologist.

This is also the reason why the prestige of blue-collar professions has dropped to zero today. The "Tin Generation" especially does not like anything related to physical labor.

“If you treat life and work infantilely, like a game, then you should under no circumstances strain yourself!” explains Sandomirsky. “After all, in the game everything is done for fun, busyness and vigorous activity are simulated. And those who want to “plow”, “work hard” there is less and less stress to be seriously exerted. Young people are looking for virtual work, but even in real work they manage to show virtual results.”

What's next? Perhaps the next generation, born under Putin, will work hard for three? No matter how it is, psychologists say. “The next younger generations will follow the example of the current ones. This is the same as hazing in the army - it is passed on by inertia. And it all started with the fact that in the 60s they began to take into the army with a criminal past, and these criminal elements quickly hazing was introduced. Now, no matter what you do, hazing cannot be defeated. Once the phenomenon has taken root, it is very difficult to fight it.”

In general, it turns out that our future is in the hands of such young people who will not really be able to build anything - and it seems that they are not going to build anything at all?

It needs to be clarified: the “tough” generation does not mean sticking a label on all its representatives without exception. This only means that their childhood passed under the influence of general socio-psychological factors, under the influence of which certain psychological traits were formed more often than in other generations (increased aggressiveness, coupled with a deficit of empathy - the inability to sympathize, the inability to put oneself in the place of another person - leads to cruelty). Thus, we are talking about a general trend, which in each individual case is realized with a certain degree of probability.

Of course, throughout the long history of mankind, the generation of “fathers” has been dissatisfied with the generation of “children” many times (dissatisfaction is also true in the opposite direction). But this was most noticeable precisely during crisis periods in the development of society. Often just when it began to decline and fall apart in order to give way to the next formation
