“The state wants to eliminate the obstacles to the activities of the non -governmental sector in order to make them a full -fledged part of the socio -political system and would like to hear the proposals from the first lips,” said the head of the administration.
In this regard, I had several questions that I would like to get an answer, together with the previously available.
1. According to what criteria were the leaders of the NGO invited to meet you? Why, for example, lawyers were not invited to the meeting to intigam Aliyev, Annagi Hajibaili, human rights activist Leila Yunus? Is this an accident, or are this hiding fears to hear unpleasant statements? Why did the proposal of dialogue sounded on your part exactly now, and not six months, a year, or three years ago? What makes the need for a dialogue so relevant precisely at this time of the year?
2. Do you know that among the representatives of NGOs not related to the authorities, there is an opinion that your proposal of the dialogue between the authorities with civil society is nothing more than the next PR ridge calculated for the West? Wouldn't it be the best answer and a refutation of such an opinion by the release of political prisoners and the cessation of the persecution of civil activists and journalists? As well as a dialogue, a discussion on a specific topic between representatives of the authorities, including you, and representatives of civil society on the air of one of the television channels?
3. How consistent and knitting with each other your calls at a meeting with NGO representatives on May 31, when you called for the creation of intolerance for those representatives of NGOs and newspapers who disagree in the authorities and your calls for dialogue on July 2? What are the causes of such evolution?
4. Do you think that at present, Azerbaijani television channels are watching less and fewer spectators in Azerbaijan, as the head of the presidential administration Ramiz Mekhtyev celebrated several times a year ago, and is it necessary to take any measures? If so, why did there be no more discussions and debates on political and social topics on the television channels over the past time on the TV channels, which are of interest?
5. Why can't the leaders and representatives of the opposition, or civil society be on the air of Azerbaijani television channels? And even more so, live? What is the country's leadership?
6. How much does it correspond to the principles of the freedom of speech declared in Azerbaijan by the Government of the country of grants to support the press? What, what grounds are motivated by the allocation of amounts, like 50,000 manat, inexperienced newspapers, and smaller amounts - more readable and influential?
7. How much does the principles of the freedom of speech you declare in Azerbaijan are allocating money by the country's leadership for the construction of a residential building for journalists in need of housing? What criteria will be selected from the needy journalists - which, by the way, is quite a lot - those "lucky ones" who will receive apartments? Will the position of the journalist, his belonging to the power or opposition camp, will play the role when highlighting the apartment? Will they require an opposition or independent journalist if he is allocated an apartment, change their position and become more loyal to the authorities?
8. Do you know that the most print, readable newspapers of the countries do not receive advertising orders that others receive, with less circulation, less readable and influential? How do you explain this?
9. How do you explain the publication of negative materials in the pro -government press, for example, in the newspaper Eni Azerbaijan, which coincided with a dirty blackmail company of several high -profile investigations of Hadiji Ismailova? What do you think, who could be interested in silence Ismailov, who revealed several cases of large -scale corruption related to the business of family members of President Ilham Aliyev?
10. Have you stated that no one was preventing collectives from continuing the release of the real Azerbaijan newspapers and Gundelik Azerbaijan after the arrest in the spring of the founder and editor of the newspaper Eyulla Fatullaev and the closure of newspapers and the closing of newspapers? If so, do you know that the editors were sealed, the equipment was seized, and the employees were interrogated at the Ministry of National Security? Do you regard these actions as serious interference with newspapers?
