A torch with a sacred flame from Greece went out with the participation of the British Rafing team. In the UK, Olympic fire went out, not reaching the games in London for only 20 days.

The incident occurred when the youth rafting team was entrusted with the torch to go down in the boat along the training track.

The device equipped with a gas burner was held by the team captain. Despite all his efforts, spray of water and a strong headwind extinguished the flame.

Representatives of the Olympic Committee hastened to rectify the situation on the spot and again lit fire, although, according to tradition, this can only be done in Greek Olympia during a special ceremony.
