At least a humanitarian catastrophe does not smell in the city center. Rather, it smells, but from meat shops-due to a constant shutdown of electricity, the meat has faded. The young brunette with a suitcase is trying to catch a taxi. "Water is coming, the second wave!" - They scream all together. When I ask where they got it from, they look at me like an idiot. After 15 minutes, the Ministry of Emergencies will refute information about the second wave and even let the car through the streets, from which through the loudspeakers will come: "Everything is fine, someone spreads rumors."

"If they say they warned, then why did we not hear?"

Oddly enough, but this is the operational message of the Ministry of Emergencies of people who gets out. They do not understand why all the same could not be done on Saturday. The head of the Ministry of Emergencies in the Krasnodar Territory, Alexander Kazlikin, told Publicpost that on July 5 and 6 they sent at least 5 warnings about floods to the district administrations. “They received documents and reported that they carried out preventive measures,” he says. “They sent people to the most dangerous city streets in this sense, but did not expect to demolish half a city.”

How to clean a house from silt as a pensioner

The Ministry of Emergencies, meanwhile, continues to look for the bodies of the dead in the houses (how many more bodies, no one seems to know) and pump out water from them. “We pump with fire engines up to 5-10 cm, and then all ourselves, buckets,” says Kazlikin. Some do not provide such assistance. Residents of the village of Nizhnebakanskoye generally cope for themselves, no one died in their village. Over the past three days, drinking water was brought once, volunteers stopped several times and once - a commission from Krasnodar, to assess the damage. At the same time, the destroyed fence and the car not subject to repair are not compensated, because the "luxury". They say that this concept applies to household appliances and computers.

Residents of the village think not so much about compensation as about how to clean at home - they are still covered with a thick layer of non -drying silt. Water in houses on the Bakanka River almost completely flooded the first floor. Talking about the inverted refrigerators and cars is already almost banal. But pensioners from Nizhnebakansky, Boris and Tamara Lebedevs, really need the help of volunteers. “If only the soldiers were sent ...”-not indignant, but meekly complains the 76-year-old Boris. They can’t clean their house, and rubber boots and slippers remained of the spouses. They can’t get to Crimesk, where they distribute clothes and shoes - they can’t compensate for the Chevrolet Spark for them on credit. Car repair will cost 100 thousand rubles.
