I’ve been studying articles and comments about the tragedy in Kuban for two days. The sources of the versions are the victims themselves... and not “black bloggers”, by the way. All discussions boil down to one thing: the population was not notified.
In Zlatoust, we regularly check public warning signals - about once a month, civil defense alarm sirens howl loudly throughout the entire area. And if regional exercises are held, then within a few minutes the eardrums of the townspeople are torn.
The sirens are working - that's good. The question is - why?
I studied at school in Zlatoust. We had NVP - initial military training. As a teenager she worked at a machine plant. She knew something. But that's then.
She studied the university course “Civil Defense” in Samara. I had a vague idea that it was dangerous there and where to run.
And now, in Zlatoust, when the sirens scream, every time I think - what if it’s real? So what happens - so what?
The population will think - just another exercise.
But, in fact, where can trouble come from? Will the reservoir break? Attack from the sky? Factory release?
And what to do if the siren starts screaming unscheduled? (and when is planned - who knows?)
Close the windows and put on cotton gauze bandages? Or take the documents and children, go outside and wait for instructions from a “specially trained person”?
I ask my friends of different ages - where, if anything?
