Wikipedia in Russian on July 10 will be closed by decision of the community in protest against the proposed amendments to the law “On Information” , the discussion of which takes place on this day in the State Duma of the Russian Federation. These amendments can become the basis for real censorship on the Internet -forming a list of prohibited sites and IP addresses with their subsequent filtration.
Lobibists and activists who support these amendments claim that they are directed exclusively against content like children's pornography “and the like”, but following the provisions and wording for discussion, the creation of an analogue of the “ great Chinese filewall ” in Russia will entail. The practice of applying the legislation that exists in Russia speaks of the high probability of the worst scenario, in which access to Wikipedia will soon be closed throughout the country.
On July 10, the second reading of the law in the State Duma of the Russian Federation is held. Amendments will enter into force after the third reading, the date of which has not yet been determined.

The Kremlin -Zhiliki realized that paid commentators and bots army would not help them in their "ideological struggle on the Internet."
They always lose, because no one even considers for an “ideological war” attempts to prove to all that United Russia and the Putin cooperative “Lake” should steal and invest as much as possible abroad, otherwise “Russia will collapse of external forces”.
Therefore, it was decided to move the Internet towards the zombie . There are “stop lists” and censorship, well, here they want to create “black lists”, and the provider will block this or that site without a court decision, simply on instructions from the ministry. Everything, as is customary in such cases, is served under the sauce "protect children from pornography and drugs." Well, then it’s simple: in comments on any site/blog/forum they leave a link on the topic “How to cook LSD from buckwheat with green”, after which the site will be entered into the “Forbidden Register”, and its owner will run around the courts for months, proving that he is not a camel.
At the same time, the one who really wants to find the recipe for the manufacture of drugs or read about suicides will still find everything that he needs within 3 seconds. These are reports (especially the last paragraph), they do not like, not drugs. Here they are unhappy , not suicides.
We remember that the court in Komsomolsk-on-Amur has already blocked YouTube by his decision due to an “extremist video” .
And in Kazakhstan, whose experience in regulating the Internet clearly serves as a guideline for a batch of crooks and thieves blocked by Livejournal and WorldPress and a bunch of other resources .
Wikipedia fellows. I would like to see clear and unambiguous statements/actions and Yandex, and Russian Google, and everyone else on this topic.
