Linoleum of antisocial networks

In Moscow , the VII International Festival of Animation and Media Arts Linoleum was opened. The theme of this year is "antisocial networks". The festival offers to abandon the meaningless every minute pastime in chats and, in return, plunge into the network of art, which delay no less than social

Linoleum has earned the reputation of the festival, where they show high -quality and experimental work. Here you will not meet either primitive or frankly commercial tapes. The short format does not interfere with the deep thoughts of the authors.

In this sense, the film by American Harvey Goldman Brahmanda is noteworthy. Translated from Sanskrit, this is a "brahma egg", that is, the universe. From gray chaos, two abstract forms of bright color arise, and the joyful creation of the world begins. Alas, the finale is sad. The conflict accidentally arising leads to a total disaster.

According to the chairman of the jury Linoleum Mikhail Aldashin , the geography of the festival participants is extensive:

- I have to watch the entire program. At the same time, I pay attention to the name of the film and its authors, and from which country they do not even look at. Now the world has become large, it is one, and who lives where art does not matter. Everyone began to think available for understanding others. If earlier there were some very special ways of presentation, now everything is quite universal. Suppose I didn’t really listen to oriental music before, but now some Turkish or Arab music no longer causes me such bewilderment.

The Executive Director of the festival Olga Martynenko emphasizes that this year the Linoleum is a "gallery on the hodgepodge", just specializing in animated films:

- For the first time, we showed ourselves not in cinemas, but we decided to try ourselves in the gallery space. This experiment is justified by the fact that the work of our festival can be in different genres, including installations and video art. In addition, the "Gallery on the Solyanka" owns excellent equipment, it has different sizes of the hall where you can watch films with subtitles.

As for special programs, every Friday during the festival we will show the best films of past years. Master classes will be held and lectures on media art.

Both on large and on plasma screens, cartoons in the "Gallery on Solyanka" go non-stop. So, no matter what day the visitor came here, he will be able to make the most complete performance about the festival program.
