On the road at the entrance to Moscow, an attack on a human rights activist was made, who was traveling with documents to meet with a senior city hall to discuss the fate of the Trinity Forest. The woman got off with fright.

The criminals aimed at human rights activist Irina Uryupin when she was traveling on Tuesday in a car along the Kaluga highway. The victim filed an application with the Kommunar police department, Interfax reports. They suggest that they shot a pneumatic weapon in the activist with the aim of intimidation.

On July 10, Irina Uryupina went to see the deputy head of the Moscow Nature Department to discuss the forest problem. She had documents from the courts indicating the illegality of the transfer of the federal Trinity forest to the land of the settlement for further commercial development.

It is noteworthy that from the early morning a suspicious man was spinning at the entrance of the Uryupina house, and the concierge warned her about it. And on the road from the microdistrict, the road to Toyota Yaris, which was driven by a woman-ecologist, blocked the yellow Lada and sixth models, the Moscow Komsomolets newspaper writes. Three young people of the Caucasian appearance sat in one car, and in the other - an older man who had previously been waiting for Irina Uryupin in the yard.

After the formation of the Zhiguli traffic jam, the passage was unlocked, but the human rights activist continued to “accompany” the Kaluga highway.

According to Irina, the car with Caucasians rode for several kilometers right in front of her, and the man in the back seat turned around and watched the victim.

“I was rebuilt into the right lane, and when our cars were caught, I heard a clap,” the woman recalls. In the open driver’s window, Irina saw that the attacker in the “Lada” was holding a weapon in her hands and aiming at it.

“It was not a gun, something more,” the victim believes.

The human rights activist parked on the sidelines, and her pursuers drove forward at the Sokol gas station. There they stood and watched Irina while she was waiting for the police arrived.

Trinity lawyer Irina Uryupina is shocked by what happened. "I assumed that there would be threats to me. But I did not think that it would reach a physical reprisal," she said.

According to the victim, back in 2009, the general plan was adopted in the city, according to which almost 430 hectares became lands of settlements, that is, they entered the city's border. Residents disputed the general plan in court, where they found out that the local officials did not produce no approvals with Rosleskhoz, the Ministry of Regional Development, and the Ministry of Nature. As a result, the court sided with the townspeople. However, the preparation of projects for forest information continues to continue.

At the end of June, the residents of the then Moscow Region Troitsk held a picket at the Ministry of Natural Resources, and then handed over to the reception of Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin about 2,400 signatures against cutting the federal forest, which borders on the city. So far, almost 40 hectares were given to garages and hotels here, but ultimately they can build ten times more, concludes the publication.

On June 23, environmentalists, along with the residents of Troitsk, conducted a picket against illegal deforestation, on the site of which the city authorities plan to build shopping centers, as well as office and administrative buildings.
