A Tomsk jumping enthusiast (jumping from a springboard on a rope) fell from a 70-meter height due to a broken safety rope and died from his injuries, the press service of the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs reported on Thursday, July 12.
According to the department, three jumpers performed ski jumps during the day in the Academgorodok of Tomsk. Young people have been practicing this sport for a long time.
According to preliminary data, at about six in the evening, when the company was about to go home, the safety rope broke during the last jump, and the young man fell from the springboard.
There were people nearby, among whom was a medical worker, who immediately provided first aid to the victim.
