A dam to protect against flooding can be built in Krymsk, the press service of the Krasnodar Territory administration reported on Friday.
The press service clarified that, on behalf of the government, specialists from the Federal Water Resources Agency arrived in Krymsk, who, together with employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, will study the bed of the Adagum River in the city area.
“A plan is currently being developed for bank protection work, as well as for deepening and clearing the river of debris. Due to the large volume of work and the shortage of workers, about 1 thousand volunteers are required for coordinated and simultaneous clearing of the river from debris,” the press service noted .
