
Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev will come to London to participate in the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games , RIA Novosti reports citing a source in the government. As part of the trip, Medvedev will not meet with the Prime Minister of Great Britain James Cameron.
According to the source, Medvedev’s trip will be exclusively private. However, it will be symbolic, since the next competition will be held in Russia.
Earlier, the desire to visit the Olympics in London was expressed by Russian President Vladimir Putin. He would really like to visit judo competitions. However, he will make the exact decision later, the press secretary of the head of the country Dmitry Peskov said.
Recall that the summer Olympic Games will be held in London from July 27 to August 12. According to the head of the Ministry of Sports Vitaly Mutko, Russia is counting on third place.
