The General Director of the Swedish Advertising Agency of Studio Total Per Cromwell filed an open letter to the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko. The text of the letter is published on the agency blog. Cromwell during the "plush landing" was located in the republic. He was shooting from the ground, and also had to pick up the aircraft pilots in the event of a forced landing.

First of all, Cromwell made a statement in connection with the arrest of Anton Suripin. “Studio Total never warned Anton Suripin or any other citizen of Belarus in advance about what we planned to do,” the organizer of the “plush landing” says. “We respect them too much and admire them to expose them to such a risk.”

In the preparation of the action, the agency’s employees studied on the Internet all materials about Belarusian air defense. “The description was the same everywhere: a cruel, but strongly faulty mechanism that is best suited for parades and for the persecution of civilians,” Cromwell writes. “You spent 20 billion euros on a system that could not detect a home -made aircraft with a cargo of plush bears.”

"On the Internet you are described as a clown. But we are not naive. You are much worse - an armed clown. Although in the long run, even a heavily armed clown cannot stop the laughter of people. And when people laugh at you, even your friends will not want to stay nearby," the open letter says.

In conclusion, Cromwell states that he, together with his colleagues, is ready to come to Belarus and answer questions from the authorities. “We will tell everything: how we flew, how we deceived your air defense system and so on,” the organizer of the action writes. In return, he asks that the Belarusian authorities do not persecute people not involved in the action.

Citizens of the Republic of Belarus Suripin and Sergey Bashmirov were arrested on suspicion of complicity with illegal crossing of the border. They may be charged under Part 3 of Art. 371 ("Intentional illegal crossing of the state border of the Republic of Belarus, committed by an organized group"), which provides for imprisonment from three to seven years.

The creator and editor of the Belarusian News Photos Suripin was detained by the Belarusian KGB for 72 hours on Friday. On July 4, the BNP website published photos of cubs with posters in support of freedom of speech in Belarus. The agency said that the pictures were received from a person who wished to remain unnamed. On the territory of Belarus on the morning of July 4, plush cubs with slogans in support of freedom of speech were parachuted on July 4. The Plush landing was dropped from a small Jodel aircraft, which was ruled by two Swedes. They flew out of the airfield in Lithuania and crossed the Belarusian border at low altitude, avoiding the detection of air defense systems. The plane flew to the outskirts of Minsk, but at this time the pilots were requested on the radio in Russian. The pilots decided that it was too risky to fly over the presidential palace, as planned. They scattered toys over the village of Ivens. In total, the aircraft spent 1 hour 20 minutes over Belarus. Then the pilots freely returned home to Sweden.
