The work on the liberalization of political legislation should not allow destructive forces to destabilize the situation in the country. According to Gazeta.ru, President Vladimir Putin announced this at a meeting with the leaders of the Duma factions.
“It is necessary that those decisions that have been adopted at the legislative level be implemented neatly, calmly, in strict accordance with the spirit and the letter of the laws we have adopted, but would not allow any destructive forces to use the newly made decisions to build up the situation, especially the destructive -terrorist way,” Putin said.
At the same time, as RIA Novosti supplements, Putin called on deputies not to be afraid of democracy, but to develop it on the basis of the legislation in force in the country. "Democracy is not necessary to be afraid, it is necessary to understand that democracy and anarchy are different things. Democracy, of course, implies laws. There can be no democracy without observing the laws in the country," said the president, commenting on the words of the leader of the LDPR Vladimir Zhirinovsky that "little democracy is a dictatorship, a lot - the end of the country."
According to the president, if you act in this logic, then the country's political system will develop. "If we act in this logic, we are sure that we will be on the right path. We will develop the country's political system and achieve that it corresponds to the current level of development of our society and help Russia take worthy place in the world," Putin said.
The President admitted that he had doubts about the need to create a large number of small parties. "Let's look at how the law on political parties will work. I, I will not hide, also had doubts about whether it was worth a smallest in political life about the creation of parties, including small ones, but we must see how it would work," Putin said.
According to Putin, it is necessary to give the opportunity to everyone who wants to express their opinion legally, to do this, but "do not run around the squares, although this is also possible, and in demand, and can be done within the framework of the law."
"What is even more important - to give everyone who wants to take part in political life, to form legal political power in the form of a party, and to prove to citizens of the country, voters, that the programs that are initiated by one or another political force are attractive and realized. Let's see how this will work," the president said.
