The police named the name of the criminal who arranged a massacre at the premiere of the film about Batman in the city of Aurora near Denver (Colorado). According to CNN, this is 24-year-old James Holmes. During interrogation in the police, he called himself a joker - this is a murderer -psychopath from comics and Batman's films. It is reported that Holmes painted his hair red.

According to the latest data, 12 spectators died at Holmes's hands, 70 were injured, 11 of them are in serious condition. Holmes went to the cinema on the purchased ticket, after the start of the session he put on a bulletproof vehicle, a gas mask and a helmet, then sprayed a certain substance and opened random firing in the auditorium. According to eyewitnesses, he shot at anyone who got up and tried to run away from the audience. The killer was detained a few minutes later in the parking of the cinema, he did not resist.

Holmes’s apartment was mined, numerous traps are placed in it using explosives and flammable substances. The police report that the examination of the premises is delayed. Five nearby buildings are evacuated.

The investigation found that Holmes had no accomplices, he was held liable only once for speeding. He acquired firearms legally.
