In April 2012, “In search of an idea worthy of Silicon Valley,” a team of experts of the Kazan IT park organized an “Startup-Sabantui!” Expedition! . The expedition participants drove through the capitals of all regions that are part of the Volga Federal District. In 13 cities - Izhevsk, Yoshkar -Ola, Cheboksary, Nizhny Novgorod, Saransk, Penza, Samara, Ulyanovsk, Kirov, Perm, Ufa, Orenburg and Saratov - the so -called “Elevator Pitch” passed, i.e. The qualifying tours where specialists chose the best startups. The expedition was attended by more than 2000 people. Experts of the IT park and the venture fund Runa Capital have studied more than 130 IT projects.

At the end of the expedition, the authors of the 30 best projects took part in the Startup lager, which worked on July 15-19, 2012 in the city of Naberezhnye Chelny. For the first two days, intensive training in the field of information technology, marketing, entrepreneurship was conducted. The rest of the time, ITSHNIDS devoted to improving their startup projects. According to the results of the camp shift for the final presentation, only 16 startups took place.

Demode, which became the climax of the project, was held in the Kazan IT park. 20 representatives of investors watched the presentations of projects, discussed their viability and gave their recommendations to each startup.
