"Not caught - not Bastrykin"

Alexei Navalny wrote another revealing post in his LiveJournal. This time, the main anti-corruption fighter conducted an investigation into the head of the Investigative Committee, Alexander Bastrykin. Navalny managed to establish that Bastrykin, being deputy prosecutor general, received a residence permit in the Czech Republic. For several years now he has owned real estate there and runs a business together with his wife.

In Navalny’s post you can find appeals to President Putin and the Investigative Committee with a request to remove the head of the committee from office. The blogger has already sent a statement to the Czech police and the FSB . He is also preparing a statement to the tax office (about Bastrykin’s failure to pay income tax in the amount of 50 thousand crowns).

Bloggers are actively discussing Navalny’s sensation on Twitter, and civil activists promise to discuss Bastrykin’s topic at the upcoming “Freedom for Prisoners on May 6” rally, which will be held today in Moscow.
