Report from the series "How the Caucasus overwhelmed by Russia lives, or rather, the center of the once popular tourist space of the North Caucasus - the Elbrus district of Kabardino -Balkaria, the city of Tyrnyauz. There are many photos, but I highly recommend watching everyone.
I want to say a lot of thanks to A_SULT_H , who sheltered me for several days in his apartments and arranged a tour of the city for me.
2. I arrived in Tyrnyuz in the evening, the minibus stopped near the fire department (in the photo on the left), where the Sultan was already waiting for me. As I wrote back in April, he met me a toned, in a jacket, which sharply contrasted with the view of the inhabitants of the city. In a word, the oligarch.
3. Somewhere there are behind these mountains, in the north, far Moscow.
4. Home Trnyauza Street, Elbrus Prospekt.
5. The city is located in a narrow gorge, the mountains begin literally a few meters from high -rise buildings, which makes a strong impression on people who are accustomed to see in the mountains a one -story rural look.
6. And the mountains are beautiful as always.
7. I took photos from the bridge over the avenue, from its depths, the bridge, lightning color, is barely noticeable.
8. All transport passes along this road, which is directed to the highest peak in Europe - Elbrus.
9. I threw things into the apartment and walked around the city. Many make a mistake, calling the mountains Kabarda, in fact Tyrnyauz is the capital of Balkaria, which local taxi drivers are proud of.
10. We went to the Baksan River.
11. The embankment was once laid well, but years and devastation take their own.
12. You need to walk here with caution, you can fall into the sewer. As evil tongues say, the hatches passed local drug addicts for scrap metal.
13. In April, Baksan is shallow.
14. A storm was approaching from Moscow, the rain began, so this and my next photo report will be in cloudy tones. But high -rise buildings are amazingly beautiful even in this weather.
15. In the distance, on the other side, the ruins of the tungsten-molibden plant, about which I will make a special report.
16-18. Closer to us are garages.

19. On the homes of commemorative inscriptions, about the living in them of war veterans.
20. Such signs can be seen not only in Tyrnyauz, but throughout the republic.
21. In the depths, between the buildings, the ruins of the lift, about which I will also write separately. And this photo amazes me with how close the mountains are. By the way, from the mountain that in the photo, I will also have a panorama of the city.
22. After the closing of the city -forming enterprise, many left the city. But not all, there are many pensioners.
23. The death of the Caucasian, whom Russian patriots do not want to feed.
24. The main attraction of the embankment.
- "What happened to the apartments?"
- "They burned."
25. In fact, here you see the results of fraternal assistance to the mountain peoples from the federal military who came from all over Russia to save the inhabitants of local militants.
With whom exactly the federals fought here, the locals, however, do not know. “According to the inhabitants of the house, the owners of the apartment on the second floor have long been in Moscow, no one has seen anyone suspicious in this apartment (even no one has seen anyone in this apartment recently),” writes Sultan. But the "fighting" are generously paid from the federal budget. Unlike the restoration of the broken entrance.
26. We are on Elbrus Prospekt. The highlanders captured in the photo, apparently, in thoughts, how even more to revenge Russia.
27. I was unpleasantly struck by a large number of garbage in the city.
30. Stopping public transport.
31. Made in conscience, so that sometimes going from the village of Seli, they do not immediately take them away.
32. Do not believe your eyes, this is a megaphone, and the price of a minute is 2 rubles 20 cutters in the home region. Nearby Ossetia or KCR is already strangers and other territories.
33-34. The ruins of a cafe. The sky is fine, no photoshop is needed.
34.
35. A typical city street. On the right is a heating main, on the left is a closed store and closed with bricks and apartment lattices.
36. The tyrnyusets are selfish, says the poster.
37. But not everything is so sad, there are modern shops in the city, they repairs something. Distributions, for example.
38. And in this building there is a new roof. Caucasians are fatten, fat.
39. And this building is noteworthy by the original solution of the withdrawal of the sewer pipe from the second floor. In the head, the thought is “where are the communal workers looking”?
40. I wrap around the corner - "Ba, this is the building of utilities!"
41. The entrance to the local stadium is closed, during the fight against the militants it is given to the military.
42. Since spring, however, they sometimes allow you to play football.
43. The fence at the stadium.
44. The building of the restaurant. Now the windows were closed with plywood, in the building border guards.
45. More progressive residents cover the windows with bricks.
46. Local cinema. I was too lazy to approach and ask if they have 5D.
Before him looks like a stand for the New Year tree.
47. The bear circus has not yet left, according to the program. Winter will be long.
48. All this time I was accompanied by the Sultan, talking about interesting places in the city.
49. Now we are going to his house. I can't get used to the hatches. A little further, as I understand it, food is prepared for our smaller brothers.
50. Someone parked at the restaurant of national cuisine.
51. A typical entrance, evaluate the extension to the first floor.
It is not entirely clear whether they threw a bath, or on the contrary, did not have time to drag?
52. And here are our smaller brothers, walk around the ruins of the old cable ropes.
53. This, fortunately, did not somail. There are enough food on the landfills.
54. We stand with our backs to the house of the Sultan. It reveals a beautiful view of the mountains and high -rise buildings.
55. But the entrance of the Sultan.
56. behind the fence - the famous Rose of the Sultan, which he planted, trying to ennoble the landscape. But the rose was, apparently, the fence had to be made higher, and the lock was heavier.
57. A local resident, apparently, condemns the waste - why did the door paint?
58. Indeed, red, still without inscriptions, the door is disharmonious with a common view of the entrance. But this will soon fix it.
59. We go up to the apartment of our Kabardian oligarch.
(to be continued)
