Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke in favor of establishing common rules in domestic football and hockey regarding the purchase of players and their salaries. At yesterday's meeting in Sochi with representatives of North Ossetia, the head of the republic, Taimuraz Mamsurov, touched upon the topic of purchases of expensive foreign players by Russian clubs.

“One Eto’o in Anzhi costs as much as all the players of Alania and Volga,” said Mr. Mamsurov.

“They are going crazy there with these payments. I instructed Rosneft to take on CSKA, the hockey team. The whole hockey world groaned. They so zealously set out to restore CSKA.
