Vacationers in the Stavropol Territory will be offered to pay a resort fee

The Ministry of Resorts and Tourism of the Stavropol Territory wants to introduce a resort fee for vacationers in the Caucasian mineral waters - 3% of the cost of the ticket, said the head of the Ministry of Resorts and Tourism of the Stavropol Territory Valentin Chentsova.

How vacationers will pay tax until it has been established. As Kommersant explained in the ministry, the fee will apply to all tourists, including those who have stopped in the private sector.

According to officials, the collection will bring an additional 300 million rubles to the budget. This money will go to improve the infrastructure of resort areas, in particular public baths and bathing, built in the Soviet period and since then almost not repaired. Now the resort industry brings 1.2 billion rubles of taxes annually, or about 14% of the budget revenues of the region.

In cavalries there are 132 sanatoriums for 33.5 thousand seats. Every year, 753 thousand people stop in sanatoriums and hotels of the region, about 200 thousand in the private sector.

According to estimates by the general director of the company-operator of internal tourism Sergey Romashkin, the average cost of daytime residence in the sanatoriums of Kavminvod, taking into account treatment, is 2 thousand a day. The collection for a two -week trip will be 840 rubles per person.

"This is a little money, but the economic effect of the introduction of a resort fee will not cover the image losses - cavalries will be the only region of Russia that charges such a fee," the expert believes.

Support for tourist infrastructure and monuments through fees is actively practiced in Europe. In particular, in Italy, municipalities set it at their discretion, but the amount cannot be more than 5 euros per night.
