Two priests prepared for dialogue with visitors in different languages ​​will begin to be on duty in the Vatican museums in August, RIA Novosti reports with reference to the Vatican radio.

“They will be at the tables in two places in the direction of the tour, and everyone will be able to approach them to talk, consult and get spiritual support,” said Bishop Giazeppe Giac, General Governor Governor of Grani Giac.

The initiators of the duty of priests expressed the hope that tourists and pilgrims will turn to the services of friendly and competent priests who are ready to suggest the answer to the questions that arise. “It will be more valuable than millions of entrance tickets. Then the Vatican museums in the full sense implement their mission, for which they were created at one time,” the bishop added.

He emphasized that the museums of the Vatican "accept everyone, regardless of religion and origin," they "are a means of transferring good news to the world."

As evidenced by the data of the published balance of governorship of the Greek Vatican, the income of the Vatican museums in 2011 increased by 9 million euros: in 2011 they amounted to 91 million euros, while in 2010 - 82 million euros.

The number of visitors to the Vatican museums in 2011 increased by 500 thousand compared to 2010 and amounted to 5.1 million people.

Three museums in the world surpassed Vatican museums in the number of visitors in 2011 - this is the Paris Louvre (8.5 million), the London British Museum (5.8 million) and the New York Museum of Arts Metro (5.6 million).

Every day, Vatican museums visit from 15 to 20 thousand tourists. In the summer, on Fridays, museums work up to 23 hours. According to the director of the Museums of Professor Antonio Paopolucci, this is done mainly for the Romans, who are busy at work for five days and cannot get to the museum at other times.
