The Olympics have started in London. A festival of pharmacologists, marketers, sports officials, transnational companies and, last but not least, the athletes themselves, cannon fodder with mutilated organisms doomed to disability and oblivion.
A couple of thousand years ago, the physical training of warriors made sense, since it was the basis of any army; the modern world places other demands on a person, where the ability to jump, swing a sword and an ax, run and swim one thousandth of a second faster than others is nothing more than exotic.
Athletes stuffed with steroids and stimulants are called upon to personify the perfection of technology, and certainly not the victory of the human body and spirit. The fact that some are caught and others are not is pure politics and an indicator of the toughness of the national Olympic committees and the influence of officials and lobbyists of the same sponsors who have already distributed medals and bonuses.
Huge budgets, the sports industry, large-scale manipulation of consciousness, dirt, sweat, betrayal, trampled souls and mutilated bodies - this is what big sport is today. Understanding all this, there is no moral strength to watch, walk, and even less get sick at this enchanting show of human cynicism and contempt for human nature.
