The car, with a two-year-old child in the back seat, was stolen from the yard of one of the dachas near Yakutsk, reports the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the republic.
“Immediately after the child’s mother contacted the police, measures were taken to search for the vehicle - the “Interception” plan was introduced, the posts and squads of external police services were strengthened, directions to the car were sent out. Soon the police noticed a stolen car on one of the streets of Yakutsk and made an arrest,” - the message says.
The thief turned out to be a 28-year-old resident of the Nyurbinsky district, previously convicted of theft. The Ministry of Internal Affairs reports that the child was not injured and was handed over to his parents.
