Google once again tightens the rules for placing mobile applications in its online catalog of Android applications. The company sent a new set of rules to the official developers of Android applications, and also demanded that they bring previously issued applications in compliance with new requirements within 30 days, CyberSecurity.ru reports with reference to the official Android Central blog.

New requirements are aimed at increasing the overall quality of applications posted in Google Play, "eradicating unhealthy developers' behavior", ensuring the ease of using mobile applications.

The rules provide not only the technical requirements for the code, but also the general recommendations for the violation of which the application can be expelled from Google Play. So, now the company tracks how often the user's application is notifications, how many system resources are eaten during operation, etc.

Recall that only in six months, Google Play has encountered several times with large -scale epidemics of harmful programs that have struck tens of thousands of users of Android devices.

At the same time, unlike the Apple App Store, where the sent applications are manually checked and verified, an automatic placement system, which relies on an automated software scanner known as Bouuncer, operates in Google Play. With this scanner, malicious programs are detected.

Independent experts say that Bouncer finds malicious codes well, but this will not replace this manual verification, since the developers often create applications that formally do not violate the catalog rules, but in fact they collect too much data, quickly discharge the battery, fill up the user with advertising, etc.
