Olympics. Day 7

The Russians won six silver medals at the Olympic Games in London on Friday, August 3. Awards were received by Dmitry Ushakov in trampolining, Alexander Mikhailin in judo competitions in the over 100 kg category, Natalya Zabolotnaya and Apti Aukhadov in weightlifting, as well as Anastasia Zueva and Evgeny Korotyshkin in swimming. Russia is now in tenth place in the medal standings with three gold medals. The Chinese team is still in the lead (21 medals), the USA is in second place (20 medals), and Korea is in third place, having won 9 gold medals.

Natalya Zabolotnaya won silver in the Olympic weightlifting competitions in the weight category up to 75 kg and set an Olympic record in the snatch. Svetlana Podobedova, an athlete from Kazakhstan, took gold, and Irina Kulesha from Belarus took bronze.

Swimmer Anastasia Zueva received a silver medal in the final 200m backstroke with a score of 2:05.92. The fastest was American Melissa Franklin (2:04.06).

Apti Aukhadov won a silver medal for Russia, finishing second in the weightlifting competition in the 85 kg weight category. The winner was the athlete from Poland Adrian Zielinski.

In addition to the medal count, qualifying competitions continue. Tatyana Lebedeva and Victoria Valyukevich reached the final of the Olympic athletics tournament in the triple jump.

The Russian men's fencing team reached the semifinals of the team saber competition, beating the United States with a score of 45:33.

Athlete Daria Pishchalnikova reached the finals of the discus throwing competition, throwing the projectile 65.02 meters.

Boxer Misha Aloyan became the quarterfinalist of the Olympic boxing tournament in the up to 52 kg category, defeating Algerian Samir Brahimi with a score of 14:9.
