A couple of years ago, a member of United Russia, deputy mayor of Tulun (Irkutsk region) Gennady Ivanovich Zhigarev decided to build a building of the Constellation shopping center in the city center, right on the roadway on Stepan Razin Street. His wife became the owner of the shopping center. An elderly local journalist, Alexander Khodzinsky, conducted a journalistic investigation and began the fight against illegal construction. I started by receiving a conclusion from the architectural service of the Irkutsk region about the impossibility of alienating a public land plot for construction. I published an article about this. Then he went to court.
This did not stop the Zhigarevs from building what they had in mind. After which Madame T.V. Zhigareva, in turn, went to court with a statement that the 74-year-old journalist had beaten her. Oddly enough, in the magistrate's court the journalist was acquitted, and Madame Zhigareva's husband was removed from his post. At the same time, I note that the shopping center still stands, bringing the spouses a stable income.
However, on July 7, United Russia member Zhigarev came to the journalist’s dacha and first sprayed a spray of paralytic gas into his nose, and then stabbed him four times with a knife. The journalist died, and the killer fled the crime scene, leaving behind a notebook, a mobile phone and a crime weapon with fingerprints. When he was detained, he did not even have time to take off his clothes, stained with the blood of the murdered man.
The website of the local investigative committee reported the incident as follows: “The investigative bodies of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation have opened a criminal case against 57-year-old pensioner from the city of Tulun Gennady Zhigarev. He is suspected of committing a crime under Part 1 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (murder) ".
