At night, around midnight, in the village of Komsomolskoye, Kizilyurt district of Dagestan, Adam Khairullaev, born in 1984, was kidnapped. He was leaving the mosque after night prayer. His relatives contacted the police department, but did not receive anything intelligible in response to their questions. This was the last straw of citizens' outrage. People took to the streets.

This morning they blocked the railway; according to preliminary estimates, there were up to a thousand people. It could have been much more, because the indignation among the people is very great. As a result, train traffic was stopped for almost four hours. The well-known public figure in Dagestan, Abbas Kebedov, and the brother of the abducted man, Magomed Khairullaev, tell Caucasian Politics what is behind these events.

A passenger train traveling along the Makhachkala-Moscow route was stopped. Riot police were called to the scene to disperse the protesters. But the indignant people, instead of dispersing, moved towards the riot police. To the credit of the employees, it should be noted that they did not use weapons against people; there is evidence that they fired in the air. Otherwise it would be a disaster.

Higher structures, the Minister of Internal Affairs of the republic, intervened in the matter, and there were calls from the capital. They promised to look into the incident. There is a version that the relatives were told where the kidnapped person was. People believed the promises and dispersed. Tomorrow, Monday, a meeting is planned between the relatives of the abducted person and the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the minister. Let's see how events develop further.

- He was not seen in any kind of active activity, he was sitting at home lately and did not take part in anything. There were no charges or suspicions against him. Let's see, maybe tomorrow, when his relatives communicate with law enforcement officers, something will become clearer.

A little earlier, information appeared that the body of a young man was found near the Caspian Sea. They thought it was Adam, but it turned out to be another young man. Such disappearances and murders of people have become standard. People in masks appear and take them with them. A few days ago, I also lost my old friend.

He was over sixty years old. He was traveling in a car with his wife and several other relatives. They were stopped by people in masks and their documents were checked. He was shot right in front of the women. They threw the documents on the corpse and left. Shortly before this, his son was also killed.

These people were not involved in anything and no charges were brought against them. This is almost a daily practice, no one cares about it. No person - no problem. And nothing concerns anyone. This probably doesn’t happen in third world countries either.

Everyone understands perfectly well who is behind these murders and kidnappings. Only the authorities can act this way. There are no other forces like this here. After all, these cars drive along federal highways, picking up people in broad daylight. A few people who are hiding from everyone will not be able to organize this. It feels like the security forces, not only local, but also at the federal level, are on the warpath.

Everyone who advocated for a peaceful resolution has been removed from law enforcement agencies; everything is being done to destabilize the situation. There are versions that these incidents benefit the security forces, who receive bonuses for the number of “killed militants.” And the state gave them complete carte blanche.

There are rumors that there are execution lists with names in the tens of thousands. Neither the prosecutor's office nor the investigative committee are working, people are being killed without trial or investigation. It is no longer clear what is happening, what they are trying to achieve, and why they are purposefully heating up the situation. It is possible that this is being done against Russia.

Magomed Khairullaev, the elder brother of the abducted man

It all happened on Friday evening in the village of Komsomolskoye, Kizilyurt district. My brother Adam Khairullaev, born in 1984, was kidnapped; he left behind a wife and little son at home. My brother, in the company of several acquaintances, was sitting on a bench not far from the mosque.

Two cars pulled up, a black “fourteenth” and a silver Priora. Eight people in camouflage with masks on their faces jumped out of them. They took Adam and disappeared. My brother's whereabouts are currently unknown.

The city police department of Kizilyurt told us that he was not brought to them, and they do not know the whereabouts of my brother. But we suspect that security forces are involved in Adam’s disappearance. There is information that Adam is now being held in Makhachkala.

- Any guesses why he was taken?

- Eat. A few days ago, a police officer was killed. There is a possibility that he could become a witness and show who is involved in this murder.

Today we blocked the railway. Tomorrow we were promised to arrange a meeting with the Minister of Internal Affairs of Dagestan Abdurashid Magomedov in Makhachkala. While we are waiting for the results of this meeting, let’s see what they tell us and what they will do.
