The General Prosecutor's Office of Ukraine in the near future will present the opposition to the Opposition Fatherland ex-Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko an accusation of complicity of murder. In addition, she is accused of attacking an employee of the pre -trial detention center, said Deputy Prosecutor General of the Republic Renat Kuzmin in an interview with the Ukrainian newspaper Today.
According to him, the Prosecutor General’s Office is ready for the charges and is waiting only for the permission of the doctors. Until mid -September, according to German doctors, Tymoshenko should "rest from stress."
The prosecutor's office has reason to blame the ex-Prime Minister of complicity of the murder of businessman Yevgeny Shcherban in 1996, Kuzmin said. One of the richest citizens of Ukraine was shot at the Donetsk airport. The case against the executors of the murder of Shcherban was investigated, sent to the court and there is a sentence on it. The case against customers was allocated in a separate production. The investigation claims that immediately after the murder of bandits, money was received from firms that controlled Tymoshenko and Pavel Lazarenko, who was now serving a prison term in the United States.
The prosecutor's office has other claims to the ex-prime minister. “There is a business on the fact of infliction by Yulia Tymoshenko of bodily harm to an investigative insulator to an employee in the performance of official duties,” the prosecutor said. “There are other cases. They are also investigated.” When, on the basis of which particular episode, the case of "causing damage" was initiated, Kuzmin did not specify.
The Central Election Commission on Wednesday finally refused to register with candidates for people's deputies on the party list of the United Opposition "Batkivshchina" to the leader of the party Tymoshenko and the ex-Minister of the Interior Yuri Lutsenko. The decision of the CEC motivated the fact that they have criminal records, not extinguished and not removed in the manner prescribed by law.
Viktor Yanukovych would like to have mercy on Tymoshenko, but it can only do this after passing all the courts. He stated this in an interview with The Time in mid -June. "When the courts make decisions, including the European Court of Human Rights, this issue will be in the powers of the president - to provide forgiveness. And when this moment comes, there is a procedure for this," the President of Ukraine said.
In October 2011, Tymoshenko was sentenced to seven years in prison for abuse of powers when concluding gas contracts with Russia in 2009. Later, she was charged with concealing revenue in the amount of more than $ 165 million, theft of budget funds and tax evasion worth more than $ 5.8 million. These episodes relate to the work of Tymoshenko as president of the President of the Corporation "Unified Energy Systems of Ukraine" in 1996-97. In total, four criminal cases regarding the work of the former prime minister in the EECU are resumed. All of them are combined into one production.
