Depending on the depth of collective disappointment with the next failure, various representatives of the authorities begin to try to evaluate the scale of the tragedy. And here bureaucratic masterpieces are inevitable. The other day, Dmitry Medvedev said that the head of the presidential administration, Sergei Ivanov, did not see anything catastrophic in the speech of the Russian Olympians in London, on the contrary, said that the national team’s speech could be considered a failure . It is clear that logically these statements do not contradict each other: one says “there were no disasters”, the other “there were serious local failures”.
However, in terms of emotional interpretation, they differ very strongly, therefore, in the media statements have already interpreted as "the Kremlin and the White House dispersed in the evaluation of the Olympics." Against the backdrop of other discrepancies of the Kremlin and the White House of the last days - according to the Georgian War of 2008 - such a divergence seems to be a trifle, but it hurts. Here we are, of course, not about the “split of the tandem” or there hardware revenge from Ivanov for defeat in the succession race of five years ago. Ivanov, for sure, did not even think to think about Medvedev’s statement when he was asked about the Olympics. Maybe I didn’t hear him at all.
Even when the “analysis” of the situation of responsible persons does not have any real emotions under it, but has only a sober calculation, the public is grades from the series “Guard, Catastrophe, urgently saving” or “Everything is so wonderful that you can’t even come up with better”. And on the contrary: the country in the ring of enemies, drug addiction, alcoholism and smoking acquired the nature of the national catastrophe, the raw material economy can literally collapse in the near future, the country's infrastructure is outdated and its ubiquitous refusal will soon follow, illegal migration is growing, business is dying of high taxes, the demographic situation is terrible.
Therefore, no examination ordered by the authorities never works, because either a pessimistic answer is interesting or optimistic. Say, on the eve of the crisis in the bowels of the Central Executive Committee and the Ministry of Economic Development, a strategy for the development of the economy was developed, which analyzed three basic options: pessimistic, realistic and optimistic. The hot opponents of the ruling elite, I must say, are the same black and white consciousness, even more contrasting, perhaps. The level of corruption is closed and is growing all the time, the education was degrading and will soon disappear at all, the police only do that the business is nightmare and kills citizens. And even the Olympics blew, in which the Putin regime is undoubtedly to blame.
So we blew the Olympics or not? Well, firstly, not “we”, but the Olympians, their coaches and other specialists.
More Russian athletes cannot, but it is unlikely that Russian athletes cannot. And yes, everything is true - the sport of high achievements is not the same that in the Soviet years, the state did not engage in them for a long time and other.
But there is inertia and it will be enough for a long time. In general, after Medvedev - “no disaster”, but also to relax and enjoy “silver rain”, as the prime minister does, is not worth it. After all, silver rain risks turning into if not a “ silver galosh ”, then into bronze - for sure. It is necessary to evaluate your strength, analyze the strengths and weaknesses and work. To everyone in their place.
Officials in general about sports should be forbidden to speak. Those still professionals, they do not know how to speak out without black and white stamps without black and white. Or - as an extreme option - to ban sport in general. Then the unity will come within the country and the elites will not be toil - won "we" or lost again? What is good in this sport?
