The resonant appointment of the innovator Kirill Serebrennikov, the Gogol Theater, provoked a conflict: on Saturday, the theater actors published an open letter on the President Putin, the mayor of Moscow, the Minister of Culture and the theater officials with a request to protect the theater from the Raidersky capture.
Serebrennikov published a link to a letter on his Facebook page , writing in the comments: "It seems that this is straight ... Incredibly, prohibitively cool! I am glad to be a reason for the fact that such a sample of style appeared!"
The theater, as stated in the letter, was “sentenced to destruction”, and the actions of the head of the Department of Culture of Moscow Sergei Kapkov, who changed the leadership, resemble the “raider seizure”. It is argued that the letter collects more than 80 signatures. Among the named signatures are extremely honored and folk artists.
“From the media, we learn that one of the reasons for the change of leadership is also one of the reasons for the change of management. We believe that this is the main reason for what is happening,” the letter said.
Signers argue that the change of Khudruk will lead "to the dissolution of the team, as a result of which about two hundred people are thrown out into the street." Earlier, Serebrennikov promised not to dismiss the troupe , and Kapkov spoke about the reasons for “performance”, in particular that the attendance of the theater last year, during which only one new production was released, amounted to only 36%.
"The appointment of the artistic director of K.S. Serebrennikov, calling for the overthrow of the principles of the system of K.S. Stanislavsky, denying the Russian psychological theater is a powerful impetus to the death of the Russian theater," the letter claims.
