The next shooting near the university campus in the United States. As Reuters reports with reference to CNN , this time we are talking about Texas agricultural university. It is located 140 km from Houston.

According to updated data, as a result of the emergency, three people were killed, one of them is a law enforcement officer. The other is a passerby. The third is the shooting himself. Earlier, the police reported that the shooter was detained. According to AP, he died from the wounds received during the detention.

Four more, including three police officers, were injured. So far, it is only known that one of the law enforcement officers was wounded in the leg, the other refused hospitalization. The fourth victim is a woman. It is operated on in the surgical department of the local hospital.

During the day, the police established the identity of the criminal. It turned out to be 35-year-old Thomas Caffol.

According to ITAR-TASS, Kaffol shot from a house located near the football stadium located on the territory of the university town. The shooting occurred around 12:30 local time (20:30 in Moscow). On the speakerphone, it was announced that the shooter was west of the town, his inhabitants were called to stay away from the place of emergency.

The motives of the attacker are installed. Presumably, police officers tried to give him a notification of eviction, RIA Novosti reports.

It is not yet known whether he was a university student.

According to Facebook information left by him, he had a mother, brother and sister, he himself was divorced. Kaffol wrote to himself that Forrest Gump (the hero of the novel by Winston Grum) and Jack Kerouac (author of the cult novel on the road) were connected in it. Of the seven images left by him on a personal page, three photos - weapons and dogs, the last - photos of his own face.

About 50 thousand people study at the Texas agricultural and engineering university. According to representatives of the educational institution, most students are currently on vacation.
