I actually really love one company that provides mobile services. Let's call it, for example, %companyname/%.
I have been using her services for almost 8 years, since I got my first mobile phone. Phones changed, but I didn’t even change my tariff plan.
Just recently I got a tablet. An ordinary tablet with 3G function. And, as expected, I signed up for a special Internet tariff from the company %companyname/% . It costs 600 rubles per month with unlimited access and Wi-Fi on board. I was as happy as a child.
But suddenly, quite suddenly, I wanted to go to Bulgaria for 2 weeks. Relax before the harsh workdays. Having started to figure out how I could avoid running into a thousandth Internet bill in Bulgaria so carefully, I came across technical support %companyname/% , which I had not encountered for a very long time.
And away we go.
The first call, after waiting on the phone for 15 minutes, I received an offer to connect to a certain service, for which I would need to send an SMS. Everything is fine, I knew about it, but the small minus was that I couldn’t send an SMS - I have a tablet, and the tariff is such that it does not provide SMS services.
With the second call, made today at 10:00, I set a record for talking on a mobile phone, waiting 56 minutes 03 seconds. Ultimately, I was kicked off the line altogether.
On the third call, I managed to get a conversation with a more or less educated employee, who told me in plain text that “for such a tariff there are no discount plans outside the Russian Federation.” Then, after thinking about it, he finally offered me to connect to a certain service for 250 rubles per day with a 7 MB limit. True, to connect it, you also need to send a request, which the tablet cannot send.
I wonder if this is the same with other mobile companies, or if they treat their subscribers humanely?
Yes, and it’s a little strange to write all this in the hi-tech section, because, most likely, this is the Middle Ages :)
