Russian President Vladimir Putin presented state awards to the London 2012 Olympic champions in the Kremlin. Members of the synchronized swimming team Maria Gromova, Anastasia Davydova, Natalya Ishchenko, Svetlana Romashina and Elvira Khasyanova, as well as gymnast Evgenia Kanaeva, received the Order of Merit for the Fatherland, fourth degree. Earlier, the head of the Russian Presidential Administration Sergei Ivanov presented state awards to the silver and bronze medalists of the Games. New cars were also presented to Olympic medal winners.

On Wednesday, Russian President Vladimir Putin presented state awards to the London 2012 Olympic champions. The ceremony took place in the Alexander Hall of the Grand Kremlin Palace.

Five girls from the Russian synchronized swimming team - Maria Gromova , Anastasia Davydova , Natalya Ishchenko , Svetlana Romashina and Elvira Khasyanova , as well as gymnast Evgenia Kanaeva received the Order of Merit for the Fatherland, fourth degree. Runner Natalya Antyukh and volleyball player Sergei Tetyukhin were awarded Orders of Honor. 39 Olympic champions were awarded the Order of Friendship.

President Vladimir Putin advised members of the Olympic team to visit schools in their regions on September 1. This is an unconditional success, this is an improvement in results.

Earlier, the head of the Russian Presidential Administration Sergei Ivanov presented state awards to the silver and bronze medalists of the Games. The award ceremony took place in the Malachite Hall of the Grand Kremlin Palace.

Natalya Nazarova, a member of the national track and field team, received the Order of Friendship. The medal of the Order of Merit for the Fatherland, first degree, was awarded to more than 30 athletes who became silver medalists of the Games. More than 30 Russian athletes who won bronze were awarded the same medal of the second degree.

Ivanov especially noted the athletes who achieved outstanding results.

The make of the car depended on the value of the medal won. 48 Olympic champions received the Audi A8, 35 silver medal winners received the Audi A7 Sportback, and 46 bronze medal winners received the Audi A6. Some Olympians who are currently at training camp were unable to attend the ceremony.
