The Curiosity Rover, who has been living on the surface of Mars for the third week, continues to delight fans with new photos from the Red Planet. Following the first color pictures and a photo in 3D, the Mars -Road sent to Earth the panorama of the environs of the crater Gale, in which he landed. Pictures of the landscapes surrounding Curiosity made it possible to make the first interactive panorama of Mars.

The Estonian photographer and designer Andrei Bodrov, who had previously gained some fame , created a panorama in the Google Earth. This time, the photographer did not use his own photos, but the pictures of the marboxis made in high resolution.

The created image allows you to examine the area around Curiosity in detail: you can turn into 360 degrees. The image can also be brought closer, so that the rocky peaks at the edge of the crater, and pebbles under the wheels of the marinage, are distinctly distinguishable.

At the same time, some users speak very critically to the designer, calling his work a fake and the creation of Photoshop. The designer, however, does not hide that he used graphic editors when creating an interactive image. For example, in order to combine many pictures into one panoramic and to enhance color brightness. Also in the sky, the sun was finished, which did not fall into the Curiosity lens, the TMP designer explained. Otherwise, the image is fully consistent with reality, Bodrov assures.

The Mars Road sent new photos

Curiosity, meanwhile, continues the test of all its devices and, in particular, 17 cameras, as a result of which new pictures from Mars come to Earth. The latest at the moment is color photos in high resolution. The Mark Road also sent a fresh panorama , however, not interactive.

In general, checking the performance of all systems of the device is a matter of non -construction. So to Mount Sharp, located in the center of the Gale crater, Curiosity will be used to get, as expected, for about a year. The process will also slow down the stops that the Mars -Road will make in order to explore the pebbles who are interested in it, notes The Daily Mail .
