The vice president fled from Bashar al-Assad, says the Syrian opposition

The Syrian opposition stated that the Vice President of the country Faroca al-Sharaa moved to Jordan. The office of the vice president refutes this information, although there are no personal comments yet.

According to the Al-Arabiya television channel, there were no official evidence of the Vice President’s flight from the country's leadership, RIA Novosti reports.

If the information is confirmed, then al-Sharaa will become the highest-ranking bugwood official from the administration of Bashar al-Assad.

In early August, the country's Prime Minister Riyad Hijab also stated that he joined the opposition and fled from Syria. He is currently in Jordan.

At the beginning of the year, Farok Sharaa was called as a probable authorized representative of the authorities in future negotiations with opposition factions on political settlement. In 2011, he headed several rounds of negotiations between the authorities and the internal opposition that took place in Damascus. However, the development of events in Syria went along the path of escalation of the armed conflict.

From Syria, where anti -government speeches do not cease for almost 11 months, reports about the death of people - both civilians and employees of law enforcement agencies are received daily. The opposition advocates the immediate removal of the current president of the country Assad and the holding of democratic parliamentary elections.
