Which Surkov? Of course, Vladislav Yuryevich, or simply Slava, as he is called behind his back in the narrow circles of the Russian establishment, is the chief of staff of the government of the Russian Federation, for some time now. What else? In the modern history of the Fatherland, we have only Surkov, for some the odious architect of the modern political system, for others a creative, erudite manager. In characterizing Vladislav Yuryevich, the author intends to rely, first of all, on the achievements of psychological science. That is, without giving in to subjective opinions, give an objective ethical, character, and psychological portrait. And what emotional associations it will evoke in the reader, whether he will classify the “subject” of consideration as positive or negative characters, depends on the reader himself.
Not having the pleasure of knowing Slava personally, your humble servant turned to videos available on the Internet to look at him “live” with the professional eye of a psychologist. This fascinating activity allows you to “highlight” the basic subconscious components of an individual, the so-called “personality signals”, according to which a specific personality is reconstructed. Next, all that remains is to make sure whether the characteristic created “at the tip of the pen” does not contradict reality. While watching various videos, I noticed a number of things that caught my eye. I hoped that the reconstruction would provide an explanation for them. Hopes, as will be seen from what follows, were justified. What are these moments?
First. Even when the format of communication with the audience involves dialogue, everything comes down, for the most part, to lengthy monologues, with a long introduction and the same conclusion.
Second. In his monologues, Surkov constantly voices banal things. Regardless of the audience, be it young people in Seliger, or respectable men from business and science related to Skolkovo. The content of his speeches is not much greater than the statement that the Volga flows into the Caspian Sea.
Third. When he speaks, an incomprehensible, often inappropriate smile constantly “plays” at the corners of his lips. Even when it comes to tragic things. I designated it as “Gioconda”.
And fourth. This doesn't come from the video. We are talking about the mentioned “absentee” familiarity – Slava. What kind of phenomenon is this? There must be an explanation for this.
So. As a result of viewing, the following subconscious psychological attitudes were identified: self-confidence, a sense of insecurity, conceit. Let us now turn to psychology .
Quote.
“Psychological states: feeling of insecurity - conceit. Combination of ego characteristics: pedantry - arrogance (pride). Combination of Social characteristics: conservatism - despotism.
A proud person, as you know, is a priori confident in the significance of his personality, its superiority over others. Therefore, he expresses his opinion categorically. A pedant has not only things, but also thoughts “sorted into shelves.” He forms any judgment, including about unfamiliar phenomena, by compiling long-known provisions. The fact that a new situation requires creative processing and comprehension of facts is either not taken into account by him, or, most likely, he is simply not capable of truly creative acts. Therefore, the actions and speeches of an arrogant pedant, confident in his infallibility, are always a repetition of what is already known, i.e. banal. And, more often than not, they are not adequate to the actual state of affairs.
The integral ego characteristic is banalism.
The pedantry and arrogance of the individual in the social sphere appear respectively as conservatism and despotism. The despot is self-willed. His communication with society comes down, for the most part, to teachings, indisputable monologues and voluntaristic decisions. But, since, in this case, we are also dealing with a conservative, then in the end, a compilation of conservative views is presented in a mentoring tone as an indisputable truth.
An integral social characteristic is mentoring.”
So the “moments” that were assigned numbers above: “second” and “third” became clearer. An individual, who by nature is not capable of “generating” his own thoughts, is always banal, since he always restates what someone else says. And the “Gioconda” smile is the smile of a mentor, condescendingly condescending to a “foolish child.”
Quote.
“Psychological states: self-confidence - a feeling of insecurity.
Combination of ego characteristics: adventurism - pedantry.
Combination of Social characteristics: projectism - conservatism.
An adventurer “in life” is active and proactive. But, being a pedant, he builds his activities, no matter in what area it is carried out, exclusively on the basis of long-known truths and rules. The latter are open by someone for some specific conditions, but our “hero” considers them universal. When faced with a new problem or task, the main thing for him is to find a ready-made “recipe”. In his active experience there is always, as it seems to him, a suitable scheme for a given specific case. The fact of the uniqueness of a particular situation, despite its external similarity to something known, eludes him. It doesn’t occur to him to “invent” an original solution himself.
Integral ego characteristic is eclecticism.
There is a joke question. “What could be worse than a fool”? Answer. "A fool with initiative." This is exactly our case. The adventurer is impatient to succeed and make a career. He quickly finds a ready-made project and offers it, along with himself, to society. But, being unable to offer something original, he pulls out from his “stores” something read somewhere, tested, but not relevant in the new situation, i.e. conservative. And, despite the fact that what is proposed does not fit in with reality in everything, the projector-conservative, with the activity characteristic of an adventurer, follows the doctrine he has adopted. From his point of view, reality has “got lost” and as soon as the theory is “introduced” into practice, the problems will be removed.
An integral social characteristic is doctrinaire.
Psychological states: self-confidence, conceit.
Combination of ego characteristics: adventurism - arrogance (pride).
Combination of Social characteristics: projectism - despotism.
The adventurer is in a hurry to act; he needs quick results. He does not have the patience to force himself to study something in depth and critically comprehend the facts. The most he can do is “participate” in some ideas and become their apologist. Moreover, he interprets them superficially, amateurishly. And, by and large, remains in ignorance. Being an arrogant adventurer, he identifies himself with the bearer of the final truth, called upon to actively implement it. The proud adventurer imagines himself as a central figure and unceremoniously arrogates to himself the right to regulate the lives of those around him in accordance with the “mastered” theories.
Integral ego characteristic is egocentrism.
The term itself is quite eloquent. Being included in social relations, the egocentrist strives to transform them to suit himself, so that the whole world “revolves” around him. For him, appearing as a despot-projector, established moral norms, universal human values, time-tested, are not an obstacle if they come into conflict with his vision of the truth.
An integral social characteristic is cynicism.”
Well, what else can I add? This explains not only the “first moment”, but also much more, known from the “social” activities of Imyarek, but the “fourth” is still shrouded in darkness. This means that not everything is clear yet.
Quote.
“The pairs of ego characteristics discussed earlier give, respectively: eclecticism, egocentrism, banalism.
The resulting vectors of pairs of social characteristics have the form: doctrinaire, cynicism, mentoring.
For this individual, by and large, there are no secrets, especially mystical ones. There are some ambiguities that have not yet been addressed. The entire depth of the world is accessible to his self-centered nature. Everything irrational in the surrounding reality is accidental and secondary for him. An eclectic finds a banal explanation for everything.
Integral ego characteristic – primitivism.
If there is an irrational secret for the subject in question, then it is contained for him in his own individuality. He is surprised. How is it that his cold “demonic” mind has access to all the rational simplicity of reality, but the majority do not. These strange “little people” are guided in their lives by some irrational categories: conscience, affection, freedom, faith, etc. After all, it is clearer than clear that everything is subject exclusively to the laws of necessity. But since this happened, for their own good, they must be guided, instructed, and when they persist in their prejudices, then the concepts available to them must be manipulated. The doctrinaire cynic feels himself above everyone and ascribes to himself superhuman “power.”
An integral social characteristic is demonism.”
Now it’s clear about the familiar “Glory”. This only at first glance seems familiar. In fact, it's just the opposite. This is such a modern form of idolatry. Well, a demigod cannot be some kind of Ivan Ivanovich or even Vladimir Vladimirovich. The latter is only a big boss, but still an ordinary person. And nothing human is alien to him. And “Glory”, said with aspiration, is a sign of sacred veneration. And at the same time, evidence of one’s own belonging to the caste of “priests”, members of the “deity”. Well, in the 21st century you won’t exclaim “Oh, great and mighty...”. By the way, the brilliant Pushkin was familiar with this type. Remember in Pushkin’s “Demon”.
Our meetings were sad:
His smile, wonderful look,
His sarcastic speeches
Cold poison was poured into the soul.
With inexhaustible slander He tempted providence;
He called the beautiful a dream;
He despised inspiration;
He did not believe in love, freedom;
He looked at life mockingly -
And nothing in all of nature
He didn't want to bless.
This is how the movie turned out.
