In Buryatia, a 4-year-old child set fire to a friend doused with solvent while playing.
On Monday, a 4-year-old boy was hospitalized in the Ulan-Ude (Buryatia) hospital with burns on 80% of the surface of his body, burned as a result of playing with a found bottle of solvent, the press service of the republican Investigative Committee of the Investigative Committee reports.
According to preliminary data, the injured boy was playing with a peer in the fence of his house, located in the urban village of Kirzavod. The children found a bottle with liquid, which turned out to be a technical solvent.
“One of them poured its contents onto himself, believing that the bottle contained water, the other set his friend’s clothes on fire with a lighter,” the report says.
The fire immediately engulfed the child, the residents of the house ran out to his screams and after a few minutes they put out the flames. The victim was taken to the hospital in serious condition. On this fact, the investigative department for the Zheleznodorozhny district of Ulan-Ude of the Investigative Committee of Buryatia is conducting a pre-investigation check.
