Once again about dedicated lanes and Article 282 of the Criminal Code

Yesterday, with some hope, I read that the mayor’s office is finally going to remove the dedicated lanes, and I thought: “Well, thank God! At least one normal decision from our City Hall!” Alas, my illusions did not last long. It turned out that it was useless to wait for normal decisions from the City Hall. They are not going to be removed, but moved to the center of the roadway. You can’t help but be amazed at the depth of the moral decline of the officials of the Moscow mayor’s office and try to understand whether this depth has a bottom, or whether the bullying of motorists simply has no limit. After all, one thing is obvious - the idiotic dedicated lanes, which increased the level of traffic jams in the city by 30%, have only one goal - to make driving around the city simply impossible. Well, otherwise the traffic rules for them would be different - for example, cars would be allowed to drive into dedicated lanes if they do not create obstacles to the movement of public transport, and lanes would not be organized where there is simply no public transport. And needless to say, then the dedicated lanes would be clogged with cars, and it would be impossible for buses to pass. Thank God, there are cameras everywhere on these lanes that record everything and regularly send fines. So, monitoring compliance with driver discipline on these lanes is as easy as shelling pears... In addition, everyone knows that the system of dedicated lanes is effective if buses run at least once a minute; In our country, buses run along them no more often than once every 5-7 minutes. This is at best! Sometimes there is no bus for 15-20 minutes.

Moreover, following Moscow, the practice of dedicated lanes is being introduced in other cities, where buses run even less often and where sometimes there is no bus for half an hour, and traffic jams in some regional centers (for example in Krasnodar) are already almost Moscow-like...

In general, for any normal person who gets to work every day during rush hour, and does not drive in a dedicated lane with a flashing light, and judges the traffic jam situation from traffic police reports, it is obvious that dedicated lanes are a harmful thing. This is being done to ensure that people give up cars en masse and switch to public transport. “So that all sorts of slaves in their cars do not create obstacles for the sovereign’s people... otherwise they will drive around here...”

The special cynicism of the situation lies in the fact that motorists pay for all these tricks, because their money finances this whole mockery, when there is no money to repair the roads, but to create dedicated lanes and hang cameras over them - there is always money. And now the City Hall’s next “idea” to move the lanes to the center of the road will again be financed from the pockets of motorists (that is, from the “car tax” that they regularly pay).

In addition, I would like to draw attention to the following fact. When the City Hall talks about these lanes in the media, it only says that the speed of public transport has increased, and even then not significantly. At the same time, the City Hall does not care about the fact that this has significantly complicated the movement of cars and significantly increased traffic jams: it is clearly trying to solve the problems of one part of society at the expense of another. At the same time, causing a negative reaction in that part of society that, as a result, is disadvantaged, not only in relation to the City Hall itself, but also in relation to that part of society that turns out to be a dubious winner. As a result, the anger of motorists and their negative emotions are directed not only and not so much against the City Hall, but against the buses that travel on these dedicated lines, and against public transport in general. In general, the actions of the City Hall lead to what is described in detail in Article 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation as “Inciting hatred or hostility based on belonging to any social group.”
