Naked business. Fans of walking naked in the modern world are no longer perceived as crazy or perverts - rather as people free from conventions. Nudists are increasingly defending not only their truth - they oppose slavery, sexism, killing animals, globalization. Artists make art objects from a naked body, artists go on stage without signs of clothing. And in most cases not for the sake of shocking, but for the sake of freeing from dull and meaningless taboos
Nudism as a public movement for more than a century: it appeared in Germany, became very popular in France and Scandinavia and over time spread throughout the light. But although modern clothing has long been hiding nudity very conditionally, many this phenomenon is still shocking and causes hostility.
Curtains are not needed
“I was born in the GDR forty years ago, and I always had beaches for nudists, we have it called Frei Korper Kultur - a free body culture,” says Kristina Wulf, an expert from Berlin. - For us, it was completely normal, how now no one is surprised that the woman herself chooses a man, work and decides whether to give birth to a child or not. In Germany, nudism has existed since 1897. And now it is somewhat surprised at how suddenly the old -fashioned and prudish people have become. But I personally always sleep naked, I walk naked in the apartment, although I have no curtains, and this is normal for us. ”
But even in the GDR, nudism tried several times to ban several times-nevertheless, by that time the socialist morality was already against bodily and even more spiritual emancipation, against sex and freedom. However, nothing happened. People continued to sunbathe and swim naked. There is an anecdote about the beaches of the resort Arenahop, which is known for the fact that writers, artists and other bohemia rested naked. The Minister of Culture of the GDR Johannes Bekher (the poet, by the way) was so outraged by the naked flesh of one middle -aged lady that he screamed at her: "She lost her shame, old bitch!" In this woman, the minister did not recognize the famous writer Anna Zeers. And when, after some time, he handed her, a pillar of German socialism, a national prize and asked the words: “My dear Anna,” she replied: “Still old bitch is still for you.”
Synonym for debauchery
“The attitude to the naked body in society in two ways: portraits, statues, photos in the style of nude are much more likely to be admired than living naked people, for example, on the beach,” says Psychoanalyst Zhanna Sergeyeva. - Completely stripped swimwear can cause irritation and shame among others, as neglecting social norms and as inconsistent with the proportions specified by society. It is these views that are able to turn a person from the desire to sunbathe and swim naked - we assimilate social norms and dependence on other people's assessments in the process of education. ”
The attitude to nudists everywhere is different. In the Spanish Catalonia, for example, there is a law that considers nudity a form of clothing - and accordingly no one will arrest you if you go around the street naked. In Barcelona on the beach, it is rather indecent to have a “top” than sitting without him, although no one will surprise anyone, even if you come in a sheepskin coat. But in the neighboring Portugal, where it is only twenty -hour to fly, no one topless will sunbathe - even on supposedly nudist beaches, which in fact turn out to be the most ordinary. In Denmark, as in Germany, there are rarely on the windows there are curtains (and the windows here love to the floor), therefore, passing by, you can see naked people who are engaged in some prosaic household chores. In the same Denmark, it is rarely where there are changing cabins on the beaches - people take off their clothes, put on swimsuits and then rest. Public beach nudism here has gone a little out of fashion, so the people for the most part sunbathing in swimming trunks.

Naked Russian
In Russia, nudism is treated without aggression, but with prejudice. “In those places where I came from, it was not customary to demonstrate the genitals to each other if you are not in an intimate relationship,” says journalist Elena Lapteva. - So for me it is unnatural. For example, my friend goes to a bathhouse with her father and a bunch of acquaintances. And he considers me a blind. And I do not like it when they are “let me down”-it’s unpleasant to look at other people's boobs. ”
At the same time, in Russia, nudists were during the time of the USSR - for example, at the famous Koktebel resort in Crimea. Even at that time, when the poet Maximilian Voloshin was alive, the Moscow and St. Petersburg Bohemia arranged a beach here for naked, so the local population no longer pays attention to nudists. But, as said by Sergey Matyushin, the chairman of the Telord Naturist Federation, in the USSR, nudism was regarded as hooliganism with special cynicism, and for this it was possible to get up to six years. “In fact, the naturists are usually very peaceful people close to nature, they are far from politics, non -aggressive,” says Matyushin. - Although, of course, there are individual personalities who like to provoke with their nudity - to go to the store naked, for example. I personally think that this is wrong, the minority, in my opinion, should not be imposed on the majority. ”
After the collapse of the USSR, all glossy magazines and newspapers wrote about the nudists, the topic came out of the ban, naked people announced their rights, the famous nudist beaches appeared, as, for example, in Silver Bor, who was famous for desperate swinging. Actually, everything can still be seen there. And there are also tents, where orgies are arranged. But, we will be fair, these are not entirely nudists.
Former citizens of the USSR, oddly enough, quickly liberated - even in places like the park can be found girls who sunbathe without a “top”. And many deliberately go abroad, where they rest without clothes - especially gays, to which Western society is tolerant.
The philosophy of freedom
On the one hand, you can’t scare anyone with a naked body on the beach or even in the city. But at the same time, scandals and huge fines accompany such insignificant events as, for example, for a second, the exposed chest of singer Janet Jackson during the performance. In 2004, when the singer Justin Timberlake accidentally pulled off the dress from his chest Janet, exposing the nipple, and this was seen by 89 million spectators, there was a media heater.
The fact is that in relation to nudism there is also a hidden religious background: it is believed that naked people lose a sense of shame. Not in the sense that any moral guidelines are losing, but in the fact that they cease to consider nudity something special, part with shame as a punishment for a fall, get rid of guilt, which is more than one thousand years old. And they leave their clothes only a practical and aesthetic function, but not moral.
