A ticket to the moon

It was like this: on July 25, we arrived in medical and consecration No. 1 of the city of Nizhnekamsk. There was information that in this institution two prisoners were captured when trying to escape, after which the situation in the hospital, to put it mildly, was heated.
When we entered the territory of Liu, we were met by the chief Rais Akhmetshin, who immediately went to look for the second accompaniment, deputy for educational work for us. We were waiting for him in the duty unit.

With nothing to do, I began to inspect the room in one of the tables, in a niche for papers where the so -called special equipment, that is, rubber sticks, noticed a sticking handle of a baseball bat. I pulled out the bat and saw that all of it was written out by different phrases: “Analgin”, “remedy for hemorrhoids”, “a ticket to the moon”. I ask the duty officer: "What is it?" And he to me: "The material is seized from the prisoner." The question is: why does material evidence are mixed with special equipment? No one gives an answer. I say: "I take the bat, I carry it to the administration." They shout to me: "You can’t, not supposed." Then I took out a camera, which I take in all colonies, as it should be for members of the PMC. My friend and I took a picture of the bat and went to communicate with the prisoners.

None of the administration could really explain to us what kind of bat and where did she come to Liu. Then we posted in our group in VKontakte her photograph and received the official answer of the Federal Penitentiary Service: they say, one of the prisoners as a souvenir made this bit and kept it in a colony, so that, then, when released, to redeem it.

In general, complete nonsense, and this was immediately clear. Moreover, what is the funny thing, we were told in LIU No. 1 that this is a wooden push for potatoes, which was stored in the duty unit because it turned out to be short for the push and it was rejected. As a result, the prosecutor’s office very quickly conducted the audit, and this valuable “material” was rapidly destroyed, and we were demonstrated by the prisoner Vladimir, who said that “he made a bat for himself, and when he did not remember.” To show how and where he made this stick, Vladimir refused.

Then, as usual, one prisoner, freed from Liu already in 2007, wrote to us. So he still saw this stick in the duty officer. And some, of course, say that employees used this stick.
After all this, we began problems with entering the pre -trial detention center and colony. The inspection procedure turned into a four -hour hard search: they climb the pockets and turn the bags. Photo, video and audio equipment is seized immediately. Subjects are selected from prisoners, which we have the right to accept under the law. The inspection time is delayed, so now no more than thirty minutes remain to communicate with all prisoners.
On August 9, we tried to visit the suspects in the attempt on the mufti (on July 19, the head of the educational department of the Spiritual Directorate of Muslims of Tatarstan Valiulla Yakupov was shot in Kazan. Mufti Ildus Fayzov, whose car was blown up on the same day, survived. - The New Times) and also ran into fair problems. We were going to meet with these people immediately after their arrest and only waited until they were transferred to a pre -trial detention center from the IVS. As a result, Ayrat Shakirov, Murat Galeev and Marat Kudakaeva were brought to pre -trial detention center No. 1 of Kazan. We were not allowed to meet with Kudakaev at all: twice they said that he was on investigative actions.
The others were allowed to meet only the next day, August 10, and only in the presence of representatives of the pre -trial detention center, which categorically contradicts all the rules. Well, I had to meet like that.
Shakirov and Galeev told us that they were not given food suitable for observing the Muslim post in the IVS, so they were starving. They also did not succeed in observing personal hygiene in front of prayer, and one of them, Galeev, was constantly transferred from the cell into the cell, exerting psychological pressure on it.
Adult men, each for forty years. It is difficult to see them in such a depressed state: they sit, cry and repeat that they do not consider themselves guilty. I think you don’t have to be an investigator to understand that real religious fanatics will not cry in such a situation. One of the detainees, Kudakaev, in prison, according to his lawyer, was greatly beaten. Shakirov and Galeev do not talk about such things.
And exactly a week later, on August 16, relatives of prisoners who are sitting in the Shiso IK-2 called us. They said that several prisoners were brutally beaten and twenty people opened their veins in protest. According to them, the prisoners were not given food, they began to protest, after which they were brought into the dining room, turned off the lights, and then the guards in the helmets entered there and in the light of the lamps brutally beat all with rubber sticks, hands and feet.
When we arrived in the colony, we were banned from a charming bypass in the schizo, and physically blocked the passage along the corridor. Roughly speaking, we were repelled with our hands. I asked to call the prisoners to be softened, through the guard, and he says: "They refuse to speak with you." We left the colony with nothing. Then I say to my colleague: "Let's take a small report on what happened." I took out a camera outside the gate, and my partner, German Lyotkin, told how we were not allowed. Two minutes later, guards with machine guns run up to us: “move around the corner, here is a regime territory!” Well, they moved away, weaned, went to the stop.
And then all the same guards with machine guns ran after us, and even with the dog: “Wash everything that you removed!” We refused, and stole us for an hour and a half, until we ourselves called the police.
The next day we wrote a complaint to the prosecutor’s office, and only then, with a creak, we were allowed to go into two cells of the IK-2. The convicts were already prepared, the zharygans did not want to speak with us, they turned away, and each on the face had multiple hematomas and deep abrasions.
None of them were examined by judicial doctors.
I can’t say that the behavior of the police somehow deteriorated especially after the attempt on the mufti. I just think that if it goes like this, the PMC will be forced to suspend my activities: in the end, I begin to fear for my own security.
