Estonia supported Pussy Riot

In Estonia, in the border city of Narva, a scandalous poster was hung in support of the punk group Pussy Riot. Young men in balaclavas placed it on the wall of the Victoria Bastion early on Saturday morning. The poster, measuring 24 by 8 meters, reads: “Freedom cannot be stolen. Free Pussy Riot!” This phrase is repeated in English, Russian and Estonian.

The organizer of the action, MP Juku-Kalle Raid, explained that there is no politics in the actions of the young people. They only advocate freedom of speech.

After hanging for only a few hours, the poster was torn down by residents of Narva. But the participants of the action were still satisfied. “The action of the girls from the group Pussy Riot lasted only 7 minutes, our poster hung for about two and a half hours,” said Juku-Kalle Ride. “I think that our message was heard, especially since it was covered in the media.”
